Orbit Monitor is coming soon

Orbit Monitor hasn't launched yet. The details on these pages describe the product as planned and may change before release. Register your interest to hear when it's available.

What is Orbit Monitor?

Orbit Monitor is a focused binaural monitoring tool for immersive mixes. It takes a 7.1.4 bed and renders it to your headphones — and it lets you A/B between two binaural engines, live, without stopping playback:

  • Orbit Binaural — our own binaural engine: a natural, externalised render we think is among the best-sounding HRTFs anywhere. Switch HRTFs between Orbit Studio, Orbit Reference, the reference Neumann KU100, and KEMAR.
  • Apple Spatial Audio — switch to Apple's renderer to hear exactly what Apple Music listeners get, with a standard or personalised profile and head tracking.

It runs where you work

Orbit Monitor is an AU / VST3 / CLAP plugin you can insert in any DAW — Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton, Nuendo — or run standalone via internal routing (e.g. BlackHole). macOS only.

Orbit Monitor vs Orbit

Orbit Monitor is a single-purpose monitoring tool: get an immersive mix onto headphones and check it, fast, from inside your DAW. If you need the full QC and authoring suite — ADM QC, loudness metering, object inspection, PDF reports, IAMF / Eclipsa export and custom HRTFs — that's the flagship Orbit app.
