Licensing

Aro uses your Orbit Spatial account, the same account as Orbit Lite.

Activating Aro

  1. Open Aro and sign in to your Orbit Spatial account.
  2. Activate the Mac you're using.

Until Aro is activated, the sign-in screen covers the window. If you have a licence key from before accounts, choose Enter a key….

If Aro can't use a licence, it says why and what fixes it, for example "This licence belongs to a different product."

Your licence

Preferences ▸ Account & Licence shows your plan and how many Macs are in use, for example "Aro · 2 of 3 Macs in use", or the days left in a trial.

Aro keeps working for a while without an internet connection. While it's offline, the licence line says so: Aro checks your licence the next time this Mac is online.

Moving to another Mac

Each licence has a set number of seats. On the Mac you no longer use, choose Preferences ▸ Account & Licence ▸ This Mac ▸ Deactivate to free its seat, then activate Aro on the new one. Sign out also gives this Mac's licence back.
